Empowering UX Communicators Worldwide
We guide UX professionals in breaking through the barriers of fear and uncertainty, enabling them to articulate their ideas with clarity and influence.
About The Program
As UX designers and researchers, often leaning towards the creative side, we might not naturally excel in communication like a journalist or writer might. Many of us, possibly introverted, find ourselves comfortable in our creative zones yet anxious when presenting insights or speaking publicly yet this is such a crucial part of our job.
My speaking journey from 13 years in fashion design to UX was filled with challenges. I was thrust into sales presentations early in my fashion career. Initially overwhelmed by fear, I gradually found my footing through practice and a deep connection to my passion for design.
But then when I transitioned to UX and was faced with imposter syndrome, all the fear came rushing back in. Presenting to teams and executives brought back all the familiar nerves. Recognizing the need for improvement, I sought help from a speaking coach and dedicated myself to overcoming these fears.
This course stems from my personal struggles and the realization that much of our public speaking anxiety is rooted in negative self-talk and the pressure we put on ourselves for approval.
Here, you'll learn strategies to manage fear and internal conflict, shifting the narrative you tell yourself. It's about turning off the self-doubt and focusing on your message, creating a space between negative thoughts and your actions. Awareness of these patterns and learning to pause can give your mind the clarity needed to stay present and articulate your ideas confidently.
I designed this course specifically for the UX community, recognizing that effective communication is crucial for advocating our designs and ideas. Improving this skill not only enhances our professional performance but also opens up new opportunities in our careers.
